3370

Features

  • Integrated keypad reader, proximity reader and fingerprint reader.
  • Fingerprint identification and verification.
  • The reader in the 3370 uses Liveness Detection and will only respond to a human finger.
  • Three relays to trigger sirens or electronic door locks.
  • Supports Time and Attendance, Access Control and Job Costing*.
  • Download clockings and hours via a USB thumb drive, via the web interface or link the clock to CS Time

*Job Costing requires CS Time software.

Lumidigm Multispectral Imaging

This is a patented technology that uses multiple spectrums of light to identify unique fingerprint characteristics from the surface of the skin as well as subdermal layers. This make the fingerprint identification process more reliable and results in the best liveness detection capability in the industry.

Identification vs Verification

Fingerprint Identification: an employee can swipe using only their fingerprint.
Fingerprint Verification: an employee swipes a card or enters a PIN number. They must then place their finger to verify their identity.

Identification is great, so why is it not used all the time? The more fingerprints there are to compare one person's to, the longer it will take to match the finger to a template in the database. So you need to push up the processing power to make the process faster - and more processing power is more expensive. With verification there is a maximum of 10 templates to compare with. It is therefore much faster and the card or PIN adds another level of security.
